Rabbit Treats
This page is a list of recipes to make snacks and treats for your bunnies.
Hot Hoppers Snack Balls
1/2cup oats
1/2cup Barley
1/2cup BOSS ( Black Oil Sunflower Seeds)
1/2cup Blackstrap Molasses
Toss together until well combined
Form into 1/2in balls and place on wax paper
Let dry
1 snack ball 2x per week for special treats
Dietary Supplements and Finisher Recipe
Hot Hoppers Finishing Mix
- 50lb bag 16% complete Pellet
- 3lb Black Oil Sunflower Seed
- 3lb Rolled Oats
- 3lb Rolled Barley
- 15oz Bottle Black Strap Molasses
Optional additives :
- Powdered papaya enzyme, *recommended additive for wool breeds.
Optional additives by MMC Rabbitry
- 3oz Red cell
- 1.5 table poon Probiotic powder
- 3 cups calf manna
Mix all dry ingredients first, then add molasses/wet ingredients until dry mix is coated. This should have a lightly moist texture just enough to bind extra dust and make is slightly sticky. Store in sealed container and introduce slowly. use for Grow out, Finishing, Nursing Doe and litter. If any digestive upsets reduce the mix by half with plain pellets
